FUMHSF Post-UTME 2026/2027: Cut-Off Marks and Eligibility

[studies_ng_menu]

FUMHSF Post-UTME 2026/2027

The Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences, Funtua (FUMHSF), has released programme-specific UTME cut-off marks for candidates seeking admission for the 2026/2027 academic session. The minimum scores vary according to the programme, with Medicine and Surgery requiring the highest score of 220. Nursing Science has a minimum of 200, while Public Health and Doctor of Physiotherapy require 180. Several other programmes, including Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Environmental Health Sciences, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Therapy, Medical Physics and Biotechnology, have a minimum UTME score of 170.

For candidates interested in Medicine and Surgery, the required UTME score is 220. Applicants for Nursing Science need at least 200, while candidates for Public Health and Doctor of Physiotherapy need a minimum of 180. The university’s other listed undergraduate programmes have a minimum score of 170. These figures represent the minimum UTME scores reported for the 2026/2027 admission exercise and should not be confused with a guarantee of admission, since candidates must also satisfy the relevant O’Level and programme requirements.

Eligibility also depends on the candidate’s choice of institution and academic qualifications. Candidates are expected to have selected FUMHSF as their first-choice institution in the 2026 UTME and must meet the minimum score prescribed for their chosen programme. Applicants are also required to have the relevant O’Level credits, including the subjects required for their intended course. Reports on the admission requirements indicate that Medicine and Surgery requires the specified credits in one sitting, while other programmes may permit results from up to two sittings, subject to the university’s stated requirements.

The university’s programme requirements also make the UTME subject combination important. Candidates should therefore check the specific requirements for their intended course rather than relying only on the overall cut-off mark. For example, the published admission information identifies the relevant science subjects for programmes such as Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, Physiotherapy and Medical Physics. A candidate who meets the numerical cut-off but does not have the required subjects or O’Level credits may still not satisfy the admission conditions.

As of the latest information available, I could not independently verify an official FUMHSF announcement giving a confirmed opening date, closing date or current application procedure for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening. One current admission report specifically states that the university had announced the cut-off marks but had not yet released the full Post-UTME registration schedule. Candidates should therefore be careful with websites or individuals claiming that the form is available and should wait for confirmation through the university’s official communication channels before making any payment.

Candidates who already meet the required UTME score can use this period to check their JAMB details, confirm that their O’Level results and subject combinations satisfy their intended programme, and ensure that FUMHSF is correctly reflected as their first-choice institution where required. The cut-off marks currently reported are 220 for Medicine and Surgery, 200 for Nursing Science, 180 for Public Health and Doctor of Physiotherapy, and 170 for the remaining listed programmes. Any Post-UTME registration deadline, screening date, application fee or portal instructions should be confirmed from FUMHSF itself when officially released.
