AUST Supplementary Admission 2026/2027

The African University of Science and Technology (AUST), Abuja, has announced supplementary admission opportunities for the 2026/2027 academic session. The exercise is open to candidates seeking undergraduate admission into available programmes at the university, including Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Engineering programmes. The latest admission announcement indicates that vacancies are available across the university’s undergraduate programmes, giving prospective students another opportunity to seek admission for the new academic session. AUST’s current admissions portal also confirms that applications for the 2026/2027 academic year are open.

Candidates interested in the supplementary admission exercise must satisfy the entry requirements for their chosen programme. For first-year undergraduate admission, applicants generally need at least five relevant O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings. Candidates must also have a valid JAMB UTME result and meet any additional subject requirements attached to their selected course. Applicants should carefully check the requirements for their intended programme before proceeding because admission conditions can vary between disciplines.

One important requirement is that candidates must select AUST as their first-choice institution on JAMB. Candidates who initially chose another institution can use the appropriate JAMB change-of-institution process to make AUST their first choice. After completing the change where necessary, applicants should contact the AUST Admissions Office for the university’s online Post-UTME screening. AUST states that the online Post-UTME screening associated with the supplementary exercise is free. Candidates should keep evidence of any JAMB changes and ensure that the information on their JAMB record is consistent with the information supplied to the university.

The application process begins through the AUST admissions platform. Candidates should create an applicant account, select the appropriate undergraduate programme and provide the requested personal and academic information. Applicants should upload the required documents and submit their details as instructed. Candidates who successfully complete the process and are offered admission must accept the offer through JAMB CAPS and print their JAMB admission letter. The admission letter should then be forwarded to the AUST Admissions Office as required for completion of the admission process.

AUST also has scholarship opportunities that prospective students may want to consider when planning for their studies. The university’s supplementary admission information states that tuition scholarship categories range from 10% to 75%, depending on the applicable category. These may include awards connected with academic performance in O’Level, JUPEB, A-Level and JAMB examinations, as well as certain staff, alumni and partner-related categories. Candidates should confirm their individual eligibility and the conditions attached to any scholarship directly with the university before making financial decisions.

Candidates should also note that supplementary admission does not mean an automatic offer of admission. Applicants must meet the requirements for their chosen programme and complete the university’s admission process successfully. Those who are offered admission should accept it on JAMB CAPS and complete the required documentation and registration steps. Candidates who are still waiting should continue checking their admission status through the appropriate official channels and avoid relying on unofficial claims about admission. AUST currently lists its Admissions Office contact at admissions@aust.edu.ng for admission enquiries.
