The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna has announced Monday, October 19, 2026, as the resumption date for students for the 2026/2027 academic session. The announcement covers undergraduate and Diploma students at the institution and gives students a specific date to prepare for the start of the new academic year. AFIT’s official website is also currently carrying information for the 2026/2027 session, including its approved fee schedule and admission activities.

Under the resumption schedule, students are expected to return to the institute on October 19 for the commencement of the 2026/2027 academic session. The latest notice states that the student registration portal will also open on the same day, giving returning students an opportunity to complete their registration requirements as the new session begins.

The registration window is scheduled to run from Monday, October 19 to Friday, October 30, 2026. Students who fail to complete registration within the main period will have a further opportunity during the late-registration window, which is scheduled for November 2 to November 6. The notice states that late registration will attract a ₦10,000 fee.

AFIT has also scheduled the beginning of first-semester lectures for Monday, November 2, 2026. The resumption and registration dates therefore precede the formal start of lectures, giving students time to return to campus and complete the required registration processes before teaching begins. The institute has stated that its mandatory 75 percent attendance requirement for examination eligibility will begin from the same date as the first-semester lectures.
